Q) Why should I follow you on social media like YouTube or Facebook?
We are working hard to build our YouTube channel, filling it with videos of talks by members of the secular homeschool community, reviews of secular products by homeschooling students, demonstrations of activities to use in your homeschool, and content from our conference. There’s going to be lots going on you won’t want to miss.
Our Facebook groups are an amazing way to connect with other secular homeschoolers near and far. It’s a great place to ask questions, get personalized recommendations, and share your ideas with others. Our awesome Facebook community currently has nearly 10,000 members around the world actively sharing and supporting each other on their homeschooling journeys.
Q.) Do you share emails with third parties?
We will never share email addresses or other contact information ever.
Q.) Can your community publish on our blog?

We welcome article submissions from members of our SEA Homeschoolers’ community. If you are interested in having an article published on our website, contact us at contact@seahomeschoolers.com.

Q.) How do I get my products/services reviewed by SEAHomeschoolers.com?

If you have secular product, services, or other materials that you would like to be reviewed by SEA Homeschoolers, contact us at reviews@seahomeschoolers.com.

Q.) I would like to attend your conference, but I can’t afford the conference ticket.

We have a limited number of volunteer opportunities for teens and adults who cannot afford conference tickets, which will offset part of the cost. Speakers at the conference will receive a reduced rate depending on the number of talks they give. If you give one talk, the conference fee is half price. For speakers who give two or more talks conference tickets are free for the speaker.

Q.) How do I advertise with SEAHomeschoolers.com?
SEA Homeschoolers does accept a limited number of advertisements from vendors of secular academic materials. We will never let our site become overrun with advertisements however. Our goal with advertising is to help vendors of quality, secular academic products find outreach into our community and to help fund our volunteer run organization so that we can continue to provide our community with support and information of interest to secular homeschoolers.
Q.) What do I get when I subscribe to your mailing list?
Subscribers to our mailing list will receive our newsletter. We are proud of our newsletter. I like to think of the SEA Homeschoolers Newsletter as a magazine full of free content. There are some wonderful articles from secular homeschoolers from across the homeschooling community who are sharing tips and strategies that they’re using with their kids. We have handpicked materials that have been reviewed by the SEA Homeschoolers’ volunteer crew. We also have a section with articles and artistry from homeschool kids called Kids’ Creative Journeys.
Subscribers to our mailing list also have access to some wonderful, high quality freebies created especially for our fellow secular homeschoolers.
Q.) What happens if I pay for your conference and I can't attend? What's your refund policy?

There is no refund on conference tickets. You may sell your conference tickets. If you sell your conference tickets you must notify us via email of the change in attendee at conference@seahomeschoolers.com.

Q.) Why do you promote secular academics? Can I join if I am a person of faith?

SEA Homeschoolers exclusively promotes the use of secular academic materials. Secular academic materials are those materials that present topics and subjects as would be recommended by a majority of practicing experts in that field of study. We believe secular academics present materials in a way that is intellectually honest about what is known about that subject. We welcome members of many different faiths in our group. We also have members who are atheists and agnostics.

Q.) What does Eclectic Homeschoolers mean?
The methodology used by most homeschoolers is eclectic. There are numerous teaching methodologies in practice in traditional schools and advocated for by homeschoolers. Eclectic homeschoolers don’t use any one methodology. Instead, eclectic homeschoolers take those strategies from the various methodologies and use what works best with each child. When a child’s journey through learning is handcrafted this way the results are profound and personally meaningful for that individual.
Q.) You have donation buttons on the pages of your site. What do you do with the donations? Are you a nonprofit organization?
All donations to SEAHomeschoolers.com are used to house and maintain our moderated database of secular reviews. We are not a nonprofit organization.
Q.) I have written products that I would like to sell through your site. Who do I contact?

You may contact us at products@seahomeschoolers.com. All products must be secular to be sold through our website.
