The busy homeschool parent's guide to starting a co-op

Do you wish there was a secular homeschool co-op in your area, but you’re not sure how to start one? This workshop is for you! We will give recipes for a few different types of co-ops ranging from a very simple social group to a formal academic co-op, and discuss how to set them up and the pitfalls to avoid.

The bulk of the talk will deal with the most complicated option: a formal academic co-op with paid instructors.

Topics will include: –
– How to recruit instructors and members
– Finding a meeting place
– Building the community culture you want
– Best practices for co-op finance, administration, and accounting
– Sharing the load with volunteers
