Join Samantha Matalone Cook on an inspiring exploration of Project Based Learning and Making. Detaling how to turn any interest into a meaningful project, and how Making can add a sensory element to projects that enhances knowledge acquisition and retention. Learn how to support kids at any developmental stage in planning the scope of their projects, how to integrate Making and other tangible experiences into their plan, and how use their project to reach a goal or make an impact. Time will be added for questions, a hands on demonstration, and audience participation.

Samantha Matalone Cook, MaT, is an active member, featured speaker, writer, educator, and advocate of the hacker/maker and home/unschooling communities, and has over 25 years of experience in education and program development.

Currently, Samantha is writing a book on Project Based Learning, consulting , leading educator workshops, and continuing to experiment with learning through classes and workshops in her Berkeley workshop, Rose Hill Studio. She also finds new adventures and manages mischief every day with her three home educated kids.
