Description
California Out of the Box history uses story as a basis for an interdisciplinary exploration of Golden State history, life and earth science, geography, social studies, the arts, and more! To use this homeschool literature-approach curriculum, families will need to purchase or obtain these books: Island of the Blue Dolphins, Esperanza Rising, Valley of the Moon: The Diary of Maria Rosalia de Milagros, The Earth Dragon Awakes, By the Great Horn Spoon!, the Audubon Field Guide to California, and the Stories Combo Set (it replaces Stories from Where We Live: The California Coast). This curriculum book includes a teacher guide with comprehension questions, reproducible student pages (for within a family), and answer keys; it is geared for students in grades 3-6, but suggestions are included for families with younger siblings.
