Description
To have another language is to possess a second soul- Charlemagne, so says Pathways to Fluency: Changing How We Think About Language in the United States author Elizabeth Porter.
Language is not merely words and grammatical structures but how humans interact with each other and the world around them. Human interaction is essential for acquiring language, and a person must feel and experience the language with all of the senses to build language pathways in the brain. This book is a journey into language and culture and why they are so important.
