Review for 101 Things Everyone Should Know … Book Set

Purchased for my 5th grader, who read it cover to cover after receiving it, and then both parents read it. The topics are interesting/captivating.. I like how the examples are taken from so many different aspects of life. Beautifully demonstrates the pervasiveness, practicality, and usefulness of math. Connects topics learned in math class to real life, and introduces other concepts that few math teachers would know how to discuss.

We keep picking it up to re-read during TV commercials, in waiting rooms, etc. The Q/A format lends itself well to browsing and short periods of reading.
