Little Scientists, Big Discoveries: Learning Biotechnology

Biotechnology literacy is often introduced only at advanced grade levels, yet meaningful understanding begins with early, consistent exposure. When elementary students engage with biotechnology concepts, they are better equipped to recognize its role in everyday life, from medicine to food to the environment. In this talk, Professor Vanessa Hobbs presents accessible, parent-ready strategies for integrating biotechnology concepts into elementary science instruction, helping parents cultivate scientifically literate students from the very beginning.
