Hello, From All of Us at Secular Eclectic Academic Homeschoolers
Blair Lee M.S
Founder of SEA Homeschoolers & Author
Blair Lee M.S. is the founder of Secular Eclectic Academic Homeschoolers and author of The Science of Climate Change: A Hands-On Course and for the critically acclaimed R.E.A.L. Science Odyssey Series. Blair has been handcrafting the education of her non-linear thinker for over 11 years. During that time, she has learned as much about how learning happens from him as he has learned from her. Blair is a passionate advocate of innovative academics using secular materials. Through her speaking and writing, her goal is to empower homeschoolers to dare to be innovative and create something unique and academically-rich when handcrafting their child’s journey through learning. One of Blair’s ancestors was probably a hobbit, and she loves nothing more than to have people drop by and have tea, coffee, or homemade sangria while eating second breakfasts, elevenses, or tea. Blair loves to read, cook, laugh, hang out with friends, and travel.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Kat Hutcheson is a regular contributor on the Secular, Eclectic, Academic Homeschoolers website, social media manager, and the PR point person for the Secular, Eclectic, Academic conference. She was homeschooled by her father, a disabled veteran who wasn’t afraid to color outside the lines and inspired a lifelong love of learning. She loved homeschooling so much she couldn’t wait to homeschool her own kids. Her kids are 12 and 2. Homeschooling her 2E high school student while chasing a two year old around present a unique set of challenges and rewards, and there’s never a dull moment. She is an avid bibliophile whose kids have inherited her book addiction. She uses an eclectic mix of homeschooling styles often creating her own curriculum to meet her children’s various needs and interests. Her goal is to encourage her kids to be lifelong learners who aren’t afraid to try and fail and try again. All of which is only made possible by drinking massive amounts of her favorite drink, coffee.
Melissa Glatz is the Conference Manager for SEA Homeschoolers and a proud homeschool mom of two children. With 15 years experience in corporate event planning, volunteer event planning, membership management, association management, and party planning, Melissa has helped people of all ages make meaningful connections through events. She organizes weekly field trips for her local homeschool group and enjoys learning alongside her children every day. Melissa also owns and manages Hard Copy HQ, a small-run, quick-turnaround printing company that serves homeschool families.

Social Media content Coordinator
Jennifer Brown lives in Southern California with her husband, a disabled veteran, their two girls, and more pets than she knows what to do with, although there is always room for more animals at her house. A secular, classical homeschooler, with more math manipulatives than she needs, Jennifer spends her mornings doing science experiments with her girls, reading as many books as she can to them, and wondering how everyone managed to get glue in their hair.
When not teaching, Jennifer spends her time taking too many pictures, reading, and loves to spend her evenings experimenting with makeup. Her favorite places are museums and bookshops, and she collects old cameras, guitars, and lip gloss, especially the flavored kind.
